Lane's vocal prowess began by singing and playing at churches and family functions. During his college years he formed an A-Cappella group that performed regionally for colleges, festivals, and private soirees.
Upon his graduation with a degree in music education, Lane's exceptional talent was recognized by the State of Georgia by appointing him as Band Director for Atlanta's prestigious Kittredge Magnet School.
Although he rocks the school hallways by day, Lane has been rocking the Southeast more than 10 years performing professionally as a bassist, guitarist, and lead singer in some of Atlanta's best bands; That 80's Band, Mad Margritt, McFly, to name a few.
Leading the Guilty Pleasure line up since 2005, Lane's diverse talent is the perfect compliment to the band.
