Clay's passion for music began at 8 years old when he was introduced to his first instruments, voice and piano. At age 13 he formed his first band and begain belting out hard rock tunes for all of the angry neighbors on his street!!!
While earning his Major in Voice and Minor in Piano from the Philippine Women’s University Conservatory of Music, he was asked by his fellow students to play bass. It was then that his legendry admiration for the axe with the low strings began.
Living and performing as a Bi-Coastal musician, Clay has played many large venues and local haunts, including his favorite NYC Village bars CBGB’s, Continental Divide, Downtown Beirut, Kenny’s Castaway. Now residing in Atlanta, Clay continues to perform and record with a choice of diverse groups covering all musical genres. Best of all Clay still regards music as his “First Love” and his only Guilty Pleasure. The truth is that he enjoys performing now more than he did when it all began!
